Materials including tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold, (collectively referred to as “3TG”) are often used in the manufacture of products such as machinery and consumer electronics. Because historically such minerals have been sourced from regions including conflict-affected areas such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo (the DRC) and some of its adjoining countries, these are referred to as “Conflict Minerals”.
